Santa Rosa Wildfires

This is being called one of the worst firestorms in California history. Thousands have been displaced and impacted by terrifying wildfires that have moved across Northern California. Although there is a lot of smoke in the area, shortwave infrared (SWIR) can penetrate the smoke and detect heat beneath. This event will focus on the Santa Rosa CA and surrounding area. It could be updated based on the behavior of the fires.

Allowing usage of our imagery in OSM will enable faster data access by local communities as well as global relief efforts.
